racing headers and S/C
My tc has a S/C and I seealot of aftermarket racing headers out there will any of these headers fit with having a S/C already installed I just cant tell if there is going to be enoug room for this header or if the supercharger is going to be in the way please help thanks alot tc veterans

you have to remove the main s/c to make it fit easier. From what i've seen with my friends, installing a header on a s/c is hella hard because of space issues.
Removing the actual S/C itself will save you a headache.

installing headers with the S/C on is easy if you know what your doing and using the right tools, DC sports-DME-MonsterMotorWorks-Strup- and some Megan that don't have a runner up will fit without a problem. done plently of header swaps with the S/C in place and it gets easier everytime.

i am actually lookin at doing the same thing with either a JVT Header or DME.
Acid, do you know if there is a DIY write-up on how to make the swap w/o removing the supercharger??
Im sure, eventually i could figure it out, but being as how you have done it multiple times, is there any tricks/tips you have that would help?? Also, do you happen to remember what the required tools are?
Thanks

don't know of any DIY but it's pretty much just the same as removing the header as if the S/C wasn't there, only thing when removing and installing is that you have to angle it around especally for the bottom bolt that is above the alternator. top bolts are 12mm, 7/8 is what i use for the o2 sensor and the 2 bottom bolts that hook up with the s-pipe are 14mm. oh yeah the stock header has 2 14mm bolts that are on the block, hope this helps you guys.

well i dont have a lot of patience, but i do have the right tools im sure, and i never leave a job unfinished, lol. so im gonna do what i gotta do to get it in there with the least amount of work possible
maybe i'll do a write-up myself when im doing it.
now this may not be the place to ask, but what about the o2 sensor and CEL light, i know theres ways around it but what way works the best with the supercharger?
thanx for all of the help everyone, its appriciated.

you can buy the weapon-r anti-fouler but why spend $45 on something that might not work because it works for some and others no, just buy 2 spark plugs and drill 1 of them and you got yourself a anti-fouler there that could or could not work like i just said but you will save yourself a few bucks.

It's pretty easy to remove the supercharger assembly though, take off the 3 bolts on the mounting bracket on the snail side, disconnect hoses, loosen the bolt near the pulley side right near the shaft, loosen the belt and bam. Probably would take like 30 minutes to take off the SC.

well install was good one 12mm nut difficulty by alternator but no s/c needing remove and i think it is far enough away from the s/c shaft so there should not be a heat issue on the s/c thanks guys
