1) It needs an oil feed. The Scion kit comes with a hard line that routes to the oil pan (also included). You'll have to tap the oil pan or get one of the sandwich oil adapter like the one pictured:

Vortech does make the V3 supercharger with an oil system that is self-contained. Don't know if it will work with the Scion kit.
2) It uses an external bypass valve. The kit uses a Bosch unit just like the VW and Audi 1.8t engines. If you end up fabricating your own intake tubing, you can use what ever bypass or blow-off you want. Vortech even has blow-off valves for their kits.
Biggest thing to consider as far as bypass/blow-off valves is if your car uses a MAF or MAP sensor. If the ECU meters the air before the compressor, bypass is recommended. If the ECU meters the intake pressure, either one would be good.
Allready have a sandwich plated fitted for my oil pressure/temp gauges with a spare slot so can tap in to that for the feed and will have to weld a return pipe into the sump I think, here's mine -

My car runs a MAF so a bypass valve will have to be fitted too.
All good sugestions and advice, any more info that springs to mind great appreciated.

Have you looked into the STS remote mount turbo kits? It might be easier, and haven't seen many people with one.

If you have a dual-exhaust, the setup gets more complicated. A twin turbo kit would make things a little easier, but still a little complicated.
