Risks in using "Turbo Blanket"

I was wondering, are there any risks in using a "turbo blanket" to help reduce underhood temperature? Will a turbo blanket cause the hot side to become too hot?

A "Turbo Blanket" is a heat shield that wraps around the hot turbine side of a turbocharger.

Are turbo blankets better at insulating the turbo than something like Jet-Hot?

Because if the two are similar, then I don't think it would cause a problem. Some turbos can be had with a Jet-Hot coating on them already.

I use the blanket style insulation, helps out a ton. It shouldn't cause any damage it's the same principle as what the turbo manufacturer sells.

The Tnetics kit comes with one. Alot less heat in the bay when its installed.
