Hey so I love my 06 Scion tC. It’s a 5 speed beast. And as my first car it’s not exactly what I’m looking for. I’m not a big fan of my rpm’s when I’m cruising on the highway because going 80 is having my rpm’s high. What can I do to change that.
whatever information I can get would be helpful. I have been scrolling through this page looking but can’t really find anything that is helpful.

 

Find a transmission from a different car with a lower gear ratio or more speeds that bolts up and swap it in.. Can't change the gear ratios of the one in it easily and likely without custom made gears.

That's how it's designed, you'll be fine. Just change the fluid every 30k to keep it happy with Redline MT-90.

 

Gear grease will last longer than the car.
