There are a few FAST turbocharged automatics running around from Scionlife members... one of the most documented and IMHO, really nicely set up is ScionDad's with a ZPI turbo setup and Water to Air Intercooler...

It's REALLY nice... and you can read up a lot about in online here...

Check out his profile at Http://www.scionlife.com/?Sciondad

as well as checking out this think also...

the Turbocharger is the way to go....

Just had to rant... and yes this exact thread gets asked about once a week here in the Forced Induction tC forum.

Someone already installed the Greddy on the Auto tC. The report was that is fit fine with no issues. The info is on this thread

I will say that if you want a lot of CONSTANT power for an a/t tC then go with a turbo. The supercharger adds boost based on what rpm you are at (the higher the rpms the higher the boost) because it is a centrifugal supercharger. However, a turbo always pulls in an a/t tC through all of the gears as hard as it can because unlike a m/t tC you never have to let off the gas--makes for some real fun.

i put 222whp/206ft lbs on 4.9psi with an exhuast and a boost leak! Both ZPI and Dezod are well documented with the auto community. but i have to say go with ZPI on this one! :D

True...True. On my Auto tC Power comes on hard in first gear at about 3500 RPM's (which happens in a blink of an eye) and it keeps on coming until you ease up on the throttle and the turbo spools down. I don't realize how much the car accelerates from a stop until I look at the rear-view mirror and see all the cars back there starting to get up and go and that's just regular driving... no fast-n-furious poop!

I checked my MPG the other day and it actually went up, got about 24 MPG on 93 pump-gas city/highway. When I beat on the car when it was N/A I would dip down to like 21-22 MPG.
