Its a Turbonetics thing, they grind the casting off to make it smooth. Most turbonetics turbos have this.

Yes it s messy and you are absolutely right, I will get right on it and put these parts in the proper place. I encourage you to throw all your tidy manners to the wind and make your own messy garage. Trust me, it is exhilarating!

I was thinking more along the lines of stopping by and cleaning up by putting all these extra parts in my trunk so that you dont have that messy garage.

(my original post was sarcasm for I am going to rob your a$$ for the sweet kit)

I want to thank Joe, Brian and BJ for the late evening raid on the house.

Pretty much knocked out most the install in just a few hours. Injectors are in just needs wiring, emanage in, that was tough, I’m trying to recall who was boasting about who had done that tedious job! The turbo assemble is done, positioned and quick mounted for the moment.

The dirty and most sought after part of installing a Turbo on a tC, the OIL PAN!!! That thing is off, tapped and ready to go back on. I may have found the two life saving tools to removing the oil pan, it took me about a whole 3 minutes to get it off. No the pan is not damaged, bent or disfigured!

Today I have the rest of the crew coming over to help, that’s what they say, I think they just want play, eat all my food and sample the assortment of goodies in one of the three refrigerators in my house!

I will be posting pics of last nights activities here shortly, check back regularly for updates. Her is a few pics, enjoy!!

If you could get the manifold red, it would finish the theme perfect.

Absolutely!! :D I wanted to have the manifold and the exhaust side of the Turbo red. I have run out of time for the moment, the tC is in the SCION VIP booth for HIN Arizona this weekend coming up and the car is at SEMA 2 weeks later. When I get back and have some down time on the tC I will likely send it out for coating.

I will make sure to keep that post updated when the time comes.
