my car is a 2006 tc s/c. i'm running 9.5psi pulley,intake,bosh 110 bpv,header full 2.5 exhaust (no cats) and light crank pulley. its on the stock trd tune and on the trd suplied plug and has about 25,000 miles on them. car runs great pulls hard and has no problem like missfire and stalling.just wanted to get input from people with my setup. iv been reading alot about colder plugs. i know that the trd's are 1 step cloder from stock but should i go one more step? and if so witch one's ngk or denzo?

 

what was ur dyno numbers?

One way to tell is to look at the plugs and see if they are too hot - blistering or melting deposits on the electrode insulator - if they are a little sooty then you should be ok where they are heat range wize.

 

i thought the trd kit came w/ one step colder plugs. Most of the time you go s/c or turbo you do one step colder - i havent had my sc on my car in a while and the dealer did the install so i dont even remember.

 

You're nowhere near needing 2-steps colder than stock. The S/C has never even seen numbers that would need 2-steps colder.

Stick to the TRD plugs.

Btw did you install the new shaft? I see you have a header, i would wrap it or get a heat shield if you don't have one of those two already.

 

you get one step colder plugs with the trd supercharger kit already.....you fine man
