havent heard of anyone slipping on stock supercharder, maybe with a pulley, intake, headers

but not just the SC

 

I wasn't refering to the slipping part, I was refering to the
part. having 200-210whp won't burn it as fast as having 240-250whp, but it will still kill it faster than having 140whp.

i just dont like people taking a dump on the SC (not u carbon)
its just different strokes for different folks

as long as u can sleep at night knowing ur car will start the next morning, its all that counts, but next to a full turbo kit, the SC is the best way of making power rather then spending on NA parts

 

Don't get me wrong, I'm not 100% against the supercharger, especially since you get to keep the warranty, etc. I'm just saying, in terms of bang for your buck, turbo is without a doubt the best way to go (obviously not counting nitrous).

 

OK...I'll agree with the last few posts. the SC is cheaper, and with a turbo you will EVENTUALLY need a new clutch, but the way I drive, I'd eventually need one even if I was N/A!

i wouldn't do nitrous either, not with our plastic manifolds, but 600 bucks for an extra 100hp, 140tq? Can't beat that .

I havent seen one 08 Supercharged tC do this. I agree that several earlier years have had their issues, but it sounds like and looks to be true, that they have "taken care" of things for the 07-08 models.

Again, I decided to go with the supercharger because of money, reliability, and relief of say "OHHHHHHH FACKING SHlT FACK" when the cop pulls me over for the shiny looking "radiator".

I haven't seen an '08 SC!
I mean, $2K for the 05-06 is almost worth it, but the '07-'08 is, what, $3500? Not at all worth it IMHO.

 

$2950 and install I found for $650.

Yes, better than not having that 40whp at all though. And when modified later on I will be able to get anohter 20-30whp out of it.

The tC right now is my daily driver, I just want to make it a bit more fun to drive thats all. I am not looking for a speed demon out of it. I am saving my pennies for a new GTR.

 

there are guys that make 40whp N/A!
And if you say your gonna do more work and add another 20-30whp...well the, you will end up spending as much as the simple kit in the end, which will give you at least 100whp out the box.

but yeah, you can do SC now, keep the warantee, and when it's up, add some non-warantee parts and up the power.

 

yeah, i think the biggest problem with a turbo kit is the saving part, i suck at it

i need someone to come to me beat me up and take my money then give it back when i reach 5 grand!!!

 

40hp will get you no where fast hold the phones he is going to be almost as fast as si civics lol go simple kit for the win
