It would only be beneficial if he has a supercharger or a turbo charger. If it is bone stock, there will be very little to no benefit, if there is an intake exhaust and header, it would be just a hair more.

hence the reason why im starting to save up for this, hoping it comes out in summer, i can halfass the turbo setup but not the tuning

If your running vista on your new laptop, you need to download the drivers from AEM:
http://forum.aempower.com/forum/inde...c,20462.0.html

And I was not getting and crank codes or anything either, but I still needed the resistors because my f/ic would loose the tune after about 2 weeks or so...go figure... ;)

stop jacking the thread. there are too many pages already.

now back to business.

1. what s/w is used to tune? custom from the guys who built the box? How does it compare with others on the market?
2. are these two guys in a garage, or have they/will they be forming a reputable company..you know to provide support, warranty, etc. I assume this will cost a few bones so that's important.
3. How will this behave with a TRD flashed ECU?

comes from the people who coded our ecus, so itll be top of the line for us

Yep! You pretty much answered it all for me except #2. They have a very nice facility with lots of toys in it in the south. I do not want to disperse too much data until the unit has been tested, proven, works and we have a production dead line for PnP units.

i don't understand what that means..."full out delete"? to replace the stock base na map? not really clear. if that's the case, where does it get the stock map. and if not, someone please elaborate.

with this device you will be able to see what the trd flash consists of and u can alter it, or completely erase it, basically this device will make your tc ecu a full standalone that u can fully control

This computer there coming out with will allow you to modify the trd map.. it will give you full acess to the computer fuel trims and ignition control and so forth.. so if the computer was adding timing with the trd map you in thery zero it out and start over to your liking... I would assume the software would be similar to both dsmlink, hondata, neptunes. which i have perosnally played with myself and are very very very nice!

Update for 2/4

Played with the BETA software. Not too shabby. It revolves around a windows style platform similar to windows explorer with a pane on the left where you can select maps and see sub-menu maps and such.

The unit allows for some decent DBW control. The software engineer said up to about 750cc or so then it may be difficult to control the idle to perfect again.

It has a governor that can be set to whatever speed we want. We can limit all cars to 35mph if we want, or 135. 100% user definable

The fuel delivery is VERY straight forward and uses the ECUs closed loop logic to get what we command. Open loop is whatever we command.

Ignition timing uses ALL Toyota logic for knock control off of the base spark cal tables embedded within the ECU. We can not see the values, but we can datalog them and get the actual values. The igniton timing is done much like the E-manage in that fact that it is altering the spark in terms of + or - values off of whatever is commanded through the stock ECU. You can enter a +10 value, but if the ECU logic sees det, it will pull some of the timing back! What does that mean to the end user? That they can monitor knock, spend some time and really work out an excellent ignition curve without guess work involved.

That is all for now.......

sweet sounds good

2 questions... can you data log the stock wideband sensor?

by saying it uses its logic to achieve what you command does that mean that you can set target a/f ratios and have the ecu figure out the rest based on sensory data?

if i remember correctly when i had my emanage ulitmate if you had the pressure sensor and an incoming wideband signal you could do something similar to that. it was kinda like a rough auto tune feature but it was kinda spotty at the time. that was back in the day with my S/C Z24 though so it might be different now idk
