Still they could have used GMAW instead of flux core. They warped the metal really bad too; it's gonna take a lot of bondo to make it smooth now

even after its smoothed and painted it wont be air tight from the looks of it so be prepared for rust unless you take some extra precautions.

... I really dont see why it wont be air tight. Just because the welds arent pretty doesnt mean that it doesnt have coverage. And even still it wouldnt matter if the body work is done properly. And no, it would not have been easier to do it out of fiberglass

Even if it would have been easier out of fiberglass, the quality wouldn't be the same. This is the right way to do it and it's turning out great, I can't wait to see the finished project. You're going all out on this build, and not cutting any corners. Great job.
