Spd_Rcr Getting A Make Over! (Username change mmmpshh) Might be making a comeback..
I am trynna put it all together (on paper) to see if it all will fit but yes, I am planning on doin the swap. And most of the work that was done to my car wont affect the motor swap. I mean the wheels would have to go (biggest let down) but aside from powder coating a few things on the 2jz, car will look the same...

Does anyone know, is there a reasonable commercially available RWD tranny that will bolt up to the 2AZ? Im starting to get the itch to possibly go rwd just for the hell of it, but I have quite a bit of money in my motor, and I know its good to 600+whp, so why not still use it

Yes it will be alot of money, but when you think about it in terms relative to how much money Im gonna have to spend to fully build the 2azfe, twin disc clutch, standalone, new turbo, and other odds and ends it comes out to be just a few grand more so why not just do something a lil more clever!?

if you can afford to do it, then more power to ya (no pun intended). and yes, it would be cool to have. however, there is no way that building a 2azfe, and swapping in a 2jzgte, are even close. you're not just talking about parts that are just going to bolt right up. your car will have to be cut up in many different places. i know that we all like to think of ourselves as mechanically gifted because we taught ourselves how to tune, or can change the clutch out in our own garage. but this is something that you will have to pay through the nose for.
its only only getting the motor in but re doing the rear suspension and swapping in a complete new RWD rear/dif/suspension and mod the tc to take it... lots more to think about here then just cutting up the firewall..... peace out to a/c and alot of your other basic things.
for the tens of thousands its gona cost you to do this you can easily build a 500+ to 700 whp tc and just drive around on drag radials all day long and it will still be cheaper

wrote a buncha stuff earlier but had a brown out and killed power for a little and dont feel like writing it all again. lol but I priced out (for the most part) both projects. To build 2az with other things I needed like standalone and twin disc etc. came out to between 7-8 grand. 2jz project around 10-12 grand...

Here are some images that were uploaded to Facebook of Tanner Foust’s 2011 Scion tC. This will be receiving a four cylinder engine for the new year. They are in the process of cage treatment it looks like to get this car all ready for Long Beach at the start of April. Long Beach is less than 100 days away already if you can believe it!

thats actually a pretty nice touch
dude just enjoy your car in all the glory that it is now before you tear the f*%k into it again and try to drop a new engine in it. Its awesome the way it is.
give it a few months then if you still need to do something so drastically crazy, by all means go for it. I'd love to see a 2jz in a tC haha
