Is there anyway of checking the cam sensors or crank sensors to see if they are bad besides replacing them?

that was my next thing was stat sync... tony at t1 told me to check it out.... i did pull up the parameters on the sync error and it was reading 1...2...3...4..and so on all the way to 10 and then started over all this while i was trying to crank the car over. I was not sure where to find the stat sync parameter on the aem...theres so much crap in that program lol.

Click on the tab that looks like a house in AEMPro, StatSync is in the upper right corner, then crank the engine and when cranking it should read "on" after a second while cranking. If it never changes from off to on while cranking it will never enable the ignition. It will NOT start if you dont get a StatSync.

Chris,

You have a crank signal because I can read RPM in your log. You have one of the 3 cam signals showing up in your log but other than that you show nothing. I would check your sensor, check your grounds, check your cam timing for the hell of it. Otherwise as I and others have stated if it does not sync it will not start or enable ignition.

If you have done all of this then make a check list on paper of all the things you have done since it last ran and what you could have changed and start looking.

Check that your ignition fuse isn't burned.

Okay well i rechcarged the battery today while at work and read yalls posts came home and did the test for the stat sync and no its not coming on.... I just checked all the grounds they are good.

Guess next thing now is the sensors. Am i gonna just have to buy new ones and throw them in to see if thats the problem cause a cam sensor is about 170 bucks which sucks or is there a way to check these sensors before buying them....

don its sounding like the cam sensor may have gone bad so i guess i will start there.

Before you buy a sensor check the clearance between all three pins and the sensor, and double check cam timing.

Like Don said check the ING fuse in the engine bay as well. That happened to me and I was cranking mine for like 30 minutes wondering why it would start. Simple 15amp fuse fixed it.

I did pull up codes on the scanner about all 4 of the coil packs being bad. I am starting to think more and more something is off on the timing as well which is gonna suck cause gotta pull the motor back out.
