It would have been nice for tc owners to have another turbo option.

they have been proven to work quite well across a number of applications... dont knock it unjustly.

meh... rear mount turbos are best done as Homebuilt projects anyway - take a look at this:

and tell me what you think then ^^ btw that cavalier's stock engine only made 125HP when it was new! granted that model cav is 500lbs lighter than the tc is T_T

Well from my understanding the car never ran right. Started to smoke pretty quick due to the turbo seals going out from oil problems. Plus it never got tuned.

that definitely sounds like they didnt do their homework, and neglected to setup the oil system right - most likely the scavenge pump, thoug these setups also benefit from having a check valve on the oil feed side to keep oil from flowing to the turbo from the engine when turned off (oil pressure of 0). a little bit of research would have yielded a proper solution.

and not getting it tuned??? thats borderline criminal!
