Default SuperCharger Non-ECU reflash

Hey everyone,

So does anyone know what the duty cycles are for the stock injectors if you do not reflash the ECU for the supercharger? Well the duty cycles should be kept under 80-90 percent. If you don't do an ECU reflash you can't upgrade the injectors without running super rich which could result in many problems.

According to ZPI's dyno of the nonecu flash, it seems as though the top end just drops in power. I would be scared of detonation because the stock injectors could be making it run very lean in the high end of the rpm range.

ZPI did on their first intital dyno with the supercharger. They said they left the new injectors out.

well, its not gonna be too different w/ or w/out the injectors if you arent gonna reflash. The injectors will probly only run rich at idle because of the different spray pattern. An injector is only gonna add more fuel when you tell it to(reflash).

Well with stock ECU settings it keeps the same pressure for the fuel. So with bigger injectors its still going to send that same pressure and thus resulting in a increase of fuel which mean running very rich. Unless the ECU will somehow figure out on its own that it has bigger fuel injectors which I doubt it.

The ECU isnt gonna see bigger inectors, its just gonna see more fuel being added to each cylinder and its gonna retard that right back to normal. Like I said, the only time that it is gonna run rich is at idle when its in open loop.

We put the new injectors in. We didn't reflash or replace the new fuel line.

So if it is only idling rich can this have any detrimental affects to the engine? Do you think we should just get some sort of piggyback and tuned?

The car doesn't know it has bigger injectors and it will balance with the extra air you pushing in. Or come close anyway. It will idle rich and be rich in close loop i would imagine. Im sure the a/f's while cruising are irratic at best.

The difference between the stock injectors and the 410's is minimal when you are talking about peak numbers, but when you are at 95 percent or better on the stock 370's the extra cc's from the 410's make all the difference in the world.
