Default A/T greddy turbo

I have read threw a few threads on this topic and have a few finals questions before seriously considering the turbo kit. I have tried to search but most threads got sidetracked or was too long.

1) It was stated that the optional 440cc injectors will be needed, I will get this but is there a reason why the automatics would need more fuel than manuals? (I just want a little explanation)

2) If i'm going for reliability rather than riskier power, will using either emanage or emanage ultimate going to affect me (does it only affect the ease of tuning)?

3) What is the going rate for tuning a turbo? I called around and got about 4-6 hrs for tuning @ 150$/hour. Anybody know better rates in southern cali?

4) Would i need anything else besides the emanage, upgrdaed injectors, clips, harness, AF wideband guage, and tranny cooler on top of the greddy kit to run it safely?

5) Is there no downloadable fuel map thats better than the base map and can avoid tuning? Or is every car very different that tuning is required individually.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the NEWBISH questions. =P

Look at my thread.. I have a lot of that info.

You don't NEED bigger injectors, but i'd recommend them. The stock 370cc injectors probably won't be able to handle the fuel needed. Emanage won't affect your reliability. In fact, you need fuel management to be reliable.

That's an expensive tune right there... 4-6 hours with a piggyback fuel management? They better give you a happy ending.

Your tune should in no way take 4-6 hours to tune. I see your in SoCal. I am taking my car to a dyno shop on Sunday in LB area that charges 160/hr and said it will only take 1 hour tops 2. They have tuned tC's using the emanage so they know what they are doing. Your welcome to stop down and check it out. The name of the place is churches automotive testing. I'm running a turbo on an auto @5psi and love it! Yes, get the 440cc injectors. Those will allow you to run higher boost without leaning out tooo much. PM me if you have any other q's about my set up.

Are you going to be installing the kit yourself or have a shop do it?

I will most likely be having a shop do the install. Dynamic Autosports in Lake Forest quoted me approx 500$ for the install.

I had good experience with them in past. That was the shop I had to buy my oil fitting when I cross threaded it and my oil return fitting welded to the oil pan.

Btw.. where in irvine to you live? I'm by the 5 fwy on culver.

Tuning a Greddy kit shouldn't take more then an hour if that. It comes with a base map so it's not like you're tuning from scratch. The worst of the tune that I can tell is it should only need to be leaned out at WOT. My AFR seem to be good until I hit WOT and it runs 10 flat and thats only cuz the wideband don't read richer.

dynamic stated to me it takes 4-6 hours to tune. that's ridiculous. what should i tell them? they're literally 5 min away from my house. It would be easier than driving 45 to long beach.

Call long beach and ask them about how long. Just let them know you need it leaned out and let them know it has a base map. See what they'll charge. It might be easier to drive 45min then pay $600+.

Well, i'm actually just going to drop my car off so he car figure out the cold start issue i'm having with my emanage. He already tuned my car a few weeks ago. He's a real good guy. I'll have to stop by when your there getting ur car tuned. The dynapack dyno's are cool cause you can be right next to your car during the WOT runs.
