Default tC Idle, consistently stalling on me, HELP lol

Hi, my name is Nick and I bought a boosted tC running a GT35r on 340whp. Some of you may know of this car as Dan's, the owner of the tuning factory in Michigan that went out of business, that he built for his ex fiance. I do not know much about this car parts wise but ever since I bought it I have been having a SUPER ODD idle issue. The most basic way to explain it is that when I start my car in the morning to go to work, it runs great. Idles around 1k and runs like a gem. Say I go get gas, which involves shutting the car off (note shutting it off for the first time), the next time or sometimes the time after that the idle completely turns to ____ when I go to turn it back on. It's very rough, stays around a low shakey 600 rpms. When this idling issue acts up, the car drives fine, but EVERYTIME i shift to nuetral the RPMs either dip to 300 and stall, even while moving or jump around to try and stay a float. I am at a complete loss of what is going on considering it runs perfect the first couple times I drive it no matter if its for 10 minutes a pop or a 2 hour road trip. But the moment I go to turn it back on the third or maybe fourth time, the idle goes bonkers. It's super annoying because it stalls at almost every stop light when I am in nuetral. If ANYONE with some background with this tC issue, can you help me out or lead me in any directions with this, please throw me some incite. Thanks Scionlife!

you can leave it running while you get gas.

basically [any modern vehicle] fuel injected cars don't need to be shut off

I'm having same issue, rough idle to death/stall at a stop light, but if I sit in a parking lot and just let it sit it seems to even out and stop wanting to die.

Still looking into it but I'm cleaning throttle body tomorrow with seafoam and toothbrush and rag, then checking for leaks in the vacuum tubing around that area.

Your problem could be more complicated as I'm bone stock

Thanks for the incite. I have already changed my sparks plugs/o2 sensors. Also, I took my throttle body out and cleaned it very well and that still didn't fix the weird idle. The gas station example was just an example of how I stop somewhere and as soon as I turn the car back on it gets funny. It is honestly the weirdest issue I have ever seen. Considering it is fine the first time I run the car but the next time or time after that it goes to ____. All skipping and ____. I am at a loss. I have a Hydra EMS with the software but I have NO IDEA how to log it and see exactly what the car is doing when it is idling weird or shutting off. I also do not want to take the risk of messing up my tune because according to Ptuning, "not many people tune Hydra" even though it's one of the most expensive/best standalones out there..?

this is something else I need to check when it's idling rough.

throttle cleaning and can of seafoam may have been a success. Seems to be idling back to normal now.
Still get rolling RPMs in neutral after coming off throttle.

OP you need too find a tuner that can adjust your partial throttle and or adjust your entire tune efficiently. Also what type of setup are you using Blow-thru(MAF sensor on upper intake pipe) or Draw thru (MAF sensor on turbo intake pipe).. Draw thru is known too have poor idle and partial throttle issues. Post pics of your setup.

I am not sure which MAF I run, I was under the assumption with my speed density tune that I do not have any MAF's. Also, I run Hyrda as I was saying and nobody seems to tune with them. It's pretty annoying. I can't even figure out how to log on this software its so confusing. The hydra ems itself is so expensive too, you would think more people would tune it and use prefer it! But I did clean my throttle body out and it seems to be a tad better but still rough idle sometimes throughout the day. It's so weird

Even though your tune is speed density the car still utilzes the MAF sensor...

my MAF plug is just hanging there. I do run a MAF, I have searched through every angle of my bay along my IC piping/air filters and there is NOT a MAF.

You need the MAF sensor plugged in to get IAT readings, unless you have a separate IAT sensor plugged into the Hydra. My original tuner just threw my MAF out not fully understanding the Hydra. It sounds like the tune is a "best guess" for changing air temps when the motor is at different operating temps. Get the MAF installed, plug it in, then find someone to retune it.
