For those S/C tCs running a Forge SPLT-R
I know that there are one or two topics about the Forge Splitter, mostly people saying that they have it or want it...but there are no definite answer on how they are set up. They're a breeze to install, but I'd like to gather some info on how people set theirs up - i.e. what did you set the spring at...from those I spoke with about this, it seems that people are just guessing at it and adjusting on the fly...
There are about 53 clicks on the adjustable ****. I am running the stock pulley, and I had mine in at around 17 clicks off the weakest setting - I got a bit of flutter at idle (which, according to the Forge website, is normal). I was sort of experimenting with it, and since I was going on a long trip, I pulled the Forge off and put my stock BPV back on because I wouldn't have access to any tools for the weekend in case of trouble.
I know that if you experience flutter at full boost, the spring may be too stiff, and if it's bleeding boost before redline, then it may be set too loose.
So, how did everyone else set theirs up? What "click" are you at?
Also, how does this compare with the 007 BPV, being that it's adjustable and all?
