^^wish I did too.

Oh well, I am going to call the service manager and force the issue. I talked with TRD last night and told me that the dealer is full of poop. Smthkd thanks for the contact info, I tried to get a hold of him, but he is out of ht eoffice until Monday (probably at SEMA). My plan now is to start with the service manager, then move to scion corporate and file another case (I currently have one open for the rattling roof). This is the same dealership that was very nice and helpful in getting the supercharger and having it installed for me. Unfortunately I believe they are just ignorant to the situation because I have the only supercharger they have ever seen and don't really know what to do.

We shall see.

well I talked to them this morning and he understands that there must have been a misunderstanding between his tech and the TRD peeps. So he is going to be in contact with his regional manager and TRD all together and get me a new charger to have put on.

under warranty.

So hopefully it works out. Will know more Monday since everyone is at SEMA and will all be back in the office on Monday.

Does anyone know who posted the 2-sheet addendum to the supercharger installation instructions? It showed the shaft being aligned on the workbench before even installing to the car. I would like a pdf of that if at all possible to provide the dealership with more information for installation.

yeah...now the quest to figure out what I will do with the car after it gets fixed.

Hmmmmm....I have been tossing a few ideas around with the girlfriend.

1. WRX (most expensive option)
2. Sell S/C and go Turbo (expensive, but more affordable)
3. Keep S/C and hope this one doesn't go bad (pray for warranty claim #2 and no problems)

If I were you, I would scrap idea #3 cause this time around there gonna fix it, the second time around you know they are gonna try everything and anything possible to get around fixing it...Im sure the WRX is looking more and more enticeing to you as the days go on

Truer words have never been spoken.

However since I still owe 9500 on my car loan, it would make my $300 car payment soar to like $550 a month to go with the WRX. Sooooooooooooo I'm thinking I will have to deal with this car for a while and save some money for a better down payment on the WRX if I still want it in 6 months...or just scrap the idea altogether.

hmmmm but if someone were to total my car... Nah, just kidding

Dude, this sucks! I just read through your thread tonight. If Massie doesn't take care of it, try another dealer. I just hope you get this problem taken care of.

ok update:

They finally called Bob Garner and talked with him. They have to send pictures of my engine compartment to Bob, then he will call the tech to diagnose the issue. THEN they can get another unit if he declares it defective.

Mine started leaking oil from the Extended Drive Pulley system, where the long silver shaft meets the Charger. Im going to call my uncle and see if they can replace it. When he gets a hold of a new one im going to put the tC back to stock and sell the new Charger. I'm most likely going Turbo, or maybe even just back to stock.

I'd go back to stock if I could. I was also just told by the dealer that the supercharger reduces the value of my car because it allows for a smaller market of buyers. Funny, they said it would increase the value of the car when I had it installed...

blasted. My experience with toyota has not been a good one.
