trd reflash back to stock ecu
ok im not sure if theres a thread on this but im trying to go turbo right now and im thinking would and fic be okay with the trd reflash ive heard about the reflash that it pulls alot of timing soo with getting to the stock ecu how should i go about that because with the auto theft it has on the ecu. looking for some suggestions. thx
hey, i've done this when i went turbo. basically, you gotta get a stock ecu from a non-supercharged tc and make sure the part numbers match.
to find out what the part number is, go to toyodiy.com and put in your VIN number. it will tell you what the correct part number is for your ECU.
then troll EBAY, you should be able to find a used one, make sure you can see the part number on it.
then once you have it, take your old ecu out, install the new one. put the key in the ignition and turn the key to the "ON" position. now with a small piece of wire, short (connect) port 4 and 13. let the car sit for 30 minutes. after 30 minutes, turn the key off, remove the wire, and start the car to confirm successful programing.
you can find all this on the last page of this TSB
