Default TRD S/C FM/IC..

So any one read the latest issue of Modified mag this month. They had a custom front mount intercooler and Intake made for the TRD Supercharger.
The only thing that sucks is they don't list any gains. Otherwise it looks pretty good.

Yes there probably won't be any gains, in fact, it loses approximately 1-4 psi. The type of superchrager we have works best with the water/methonol system that you can find from ripp and I think another manufacturer, or a coolant box system from vortech, which basically works the same way.

You might have to wait until the next issue to see if they are going to post up the gains in the next modified mag issue. That is the thing about mags

The kit the have looks really nice but would probably only be good when used with a 12lb. pulley or at least a 9.5lb. one.

Just think about all the extra stress you're putting on the S/C when you start winding that thing up more just to make the same amount of boost.

They don’t specify a boost level or supporting mods. Not to mention the advertisement is for crank hp not whp. If you do the math of hp lost to the wheels on a 100% stock tc, it’s about a 14% loss (1-138/160=%). This is only an estimate on my part just for the sake of argument, but at 280 crank is about 245 wheel. Anyone remember turbonetics 300hp advertising….

Ide love to see a 240whp mark because on stock boost or 9.5lbs ..i think thats impossible... I think they would need to be running over 10lbs boost, tuned, w/methanol,header, exhaust.

Anybody have a scanned copy of the magazine add? I bet there are a lot of people that would like to read it (including myself). The only problem w/ that magazine is that they love rice a bit more then I do. ...but the magazine has had tC's a bunch of times.

Modified Mag isn't even that ricy. I'm a little disappointed that they would waste their time on the intercooler setup.
