Just some pics I have of his car..

no wonder they made 280hp it probably has a 75 shot, you can see the setup in the 1st pic.

watchign to see future results.

(FMIC has no performance gains, just allows greater PSI due to increase charge cooling. So a FMIC alone, there is no needs for a mag to do testing to see its gains)

Ide love to see a 240whp mark because on stock boost or 9.5lbs ..i think thats impossible... I think they would need to be running over 10lbs boost, tuned, w/methanol,header, exhaust.

Anybody have a scanned copy of the magazine add? I bet there are a lot of people that would like to read it (including myself). The only problem w/ that magazine is that they love rice a bit more then I do. ...but the magazine has had tC's a bunch of times.

My boys S/C'ed tC dynoed at 238whp with
ZPI 9 PSI pulley
ZPI Crank pulley
DC sports header
Injen Intake
Borla axle back exhaust

We just finished installing a ZPI S-pipe for him as well. So, he should be in the 240whp range now. It doesn't take Meth inject for the S/C'er to reach 240whp.

In the article they said they were running dangerously lean after the intercooler setup so I would be very carefull with it. The guys that worked on the tC went to Ryan Takashima of Fujita air and Jim Renella of Performance Tube Bending. After the decision was made on what to do they then talked to Adam Carpenter at Unique Fabrication to do all the work. After the install, like I said above, the car ran really lean. They adjusted it with their Camcon system but still too lean. Sadly no numbers yet in the article but I do have some website you guys can go to and maybe contact the guys.

looks like a stock s/c pulley to me in that pic. soooo......combine that with the psi drop, all the mods etc etc 280hp? no frigg'n way unless he is running a 75 shot f n02 which you can see in the first pic.

How can you tell it's the stock pulley from those pics?? 280 does sound like a stretch, but it does look pretty sick, and I'm sure it sounds pretty sweet with taht CAI setup!!
240 WHP with S/C without soaking a fortune into it is pretty sweet if you ask me, less worries than turbo and easier to deal with for the daily driver!!
I guess only time will tell how all the Turbo tC's hold up compared to the S/C ones.

I guess I need to be quicker on my piping for a front mount intercooler. That is the exact seutp I am currently working on. The unfortunate thing is, the loss of psi. The water/meth injection system, after reveiwing it and gettimg some helpful information from RIPP, makes more sense.

Also note: that car is an AUTO as well. Look at the orange tranny dipstick.

I wasn't trying to say that 240whp is out of the picture. We all know it's very realistic. The thing I don't like is they just throw their 280-hp advertisement up there with nothing else.

The S/C'er has had as many problems as some of the people with turbos. Its not an "install and forget system". And don't forget, turbo tC's were rolling around WAY before any S/C'er. Perhaps as far as 2-3 years in advanced.

but he has a FMIC - that alone is taking atleast 1lb of boost ...maybe 3lbs from him.

I was just saying that it's not as difficult as he made it out to be.

The numbers themself are not as difficult as made out to be but I just dont know why people are getting FMIC's still. Its proven that they are a decent amount of money and lose performance. Spend $300-500 on the Methanol and you will have something proven to work.

Adding a FMIC to a supercharger is idiotic.

You LOSE boost by putting on the FMIC.
