Hey guys I have a 06 tc and i have the trd supercharger and I don't know if everybody else has this problem or not but when my car is on and sitting at a idle it idles at 500 rpm and sometimes lower and feels kinda rough. Very rarely too it has cut off on me, has anybody else had this problem? and what could be a solution to this?

 

sounds like a vacuum problem. check all your hoses to make sure no hoses have come off any fittings. there should be a T fitting somewhere near your throttle body. check that line first.

Could be any number of things. Are you throwing any CEL's? Could have a lean idle.....have you tried to reset the ECU? How does it drive when you're cruising?

 

first and foremost, i'd hope that the ecu has been reflashed... or you are using a piggyback of some sort.

 

yes it was reflashed, and it drives fine when driving just does it when idling

 

that definitely sounds like a vacuum line issue then. unless the plastic relief valve toyota puts in there took a dump or something. not extremely familiar with S/C kits.

lol. really?

 

a new idle control valve probably wont do nothing. Have you looked for a vacuum leak? Also make sure all the clamps and intake pipes are looking good.

I have a S/c tc im working on now same issue!

I think its a bad flash! I installed the s/c on his car with oem computer seemed fine! reflashed it with trd flash idles like POO but oviously was good up top!

And i swear they messed up the flash!

But now we rebuilt his s/c have a modded impelle and 14 psi and fic!

 

maybe it aws previously flashed and than unflashed!

 

unplug the negative on your battery and leave it off for a few hours. Then put it back on and drive around for 15-20 minutes. That may fix it.

 

Clean the throttle body with throttle body cleaner. I had the same problem when I got my s/c new. Check all the hoses and vac lines and make sure they are connected flush and not loose.

 

I've heard that the S/C setup likes to spit oil from the valve cover into the intake quite a bit.
