As of right now, they are the only company I know of that offers an upgraded Auto Tranny for the tC.

Around 3500-4000 rpm?
Yes! Which, unfortunately, means it buzzes when I get to 70-75 mph. I'm not the only one???

Seems not. Its really annoying. Im having mine checked out next time Im near the stealership. After a closer look on my own there is a broken bolt on top left of the exhaust heat sheild on the next to the supercharger pully. I dont know if thats the problem but its worth a look.

Hey that is the pix of one of the first TRD supercharger designs. Does anyone know why they changed the Design?

So...after reading all this... What is your overall experience with the SC. I also want to be a first timer Buyer with the SC for my Daily Driven TC. But with reading these few threads about bad bearings and Horrid Noises, im not sure if I go through with it. IS it worth the hassle? Or is just handful of cases that are coming up with something wrong with the SC?

well. of all the s/c that have been installed compared to how many are actually having problems.... and to the fact that you will hear 100% more from people with problems whenever they can, then you would of people not having problems.

and honestly if the problem where that widespread, i really doubt that TRD (regardless of what someone might think of the company) would just let it go down the pooper and be happily oblivious, wether your respectable or not.

really im happy with it. its a little expensive and you get less power than the turbo but some warranty is better than none since i dont have another car to drive if something happens. for the price i got 2 days in a rental car that they covered so i didnt have to do anything. the dealer i got it installed at was nice and did good work other than the heat shield. mine seems fine other than the vibration. its got enough power for driving around and still gets good mileage. i only dropped about 3 mpg after getting it.

I've had my sc for almost 6000 miles now with absolutely no problems. I am quite happy with it. As for the buzzing in the dashboard it is coming from a panel next to your right foot. If you set your car on cruise when it does it and put your foot against the panel it should stop. There is a thread on here somewhere about how to fix it. Basically you just add some felt.

Mine is on the left hand side, by the power mirror switch. One of these days when I have more time I'll try to find it again, but my previous attempts have ended in frustration.

It should be noted, however, that I'm still happy with the supercharger and would buy it again.

i had a rattle on that side too. it was the cover for that fuse area. i bent the angled clips on the one side so there wasn't as much a gap between the clip and the panel. and put it back in, no rattle anymore.

I wish it was that easy. Mine used to rattle and I fixed that, but there's still another rattle in that vicinity. Thanks for the suggestion, though...

Yes though everyone is out for the quest for MORE POWER...lets not forget FWD have limits....easy put as such....230whp is the max a FWD should have. Sounds stupid because many have seen well plus that on FWD with little problems...but its hard for a FWD to have 300whp and the wheels have to pull the power and steer at the same time...hense RWD...even AWD THe limited slip only helps so much...and for what 1200? 1300? But then again everyone does what they want which is perfectly fine, haha. The pros gave those #s with FWD cars, not just I. Thats why you see all "performance" cars mostly with RWD, and other with AWD

Sure sure there are those 400whp civics that weigh slightly more than a feather...but thats how much money?

Not to be a DOWNER....but thought I would throw my 2 cents in....

Oh yes, OBVIOUSLY what I stated is keeping power and agility kept in balance....sure a FWD can handle 250whp+ in a straight line, but when in the corners...just a bunch of wasted rubber
