Crash bar is no big deal. He's gonna have to cut his bumper down by the fake vents!
Personally, I wouldn't do it, but I think it looks HAWT!
When is the install? And are you going to use any managment?

Then again, if I can get a good price for the stage 4 from WhoCares, I may have to do that!

intercooler piping can be re-bent to work with the space issues and you wouldn't have to cut your front bumper.

NICE! This is the kit im picking up when im ready ($$)

Give a full update on the install when you can, add in any difficulties you had in the process. Post pics of course and let me know how it runs w/o EMS.

Good luck, have fun.

Make sure you get those sytrofoam peanuts out of the downpipe. Otherwise, it'd be quite a mess. :D

Anyway, congrats. It's a pretty cool kit, other than slicing the crash bar and bumper.

I dont see any wires for the injectors. Do they include PnP injectors now? or do you just have them off screen?

"re-bent" huh?

to the OG poster!!

hey a nice DIY with pics on the install of the pressure side oil lines to the block would be great, and don't forget to get the return fittings on the pan welded on instead of just punched and tapped.

NICE!

Hey I have a question for the OP ... what do you plan to do about emissions and safety inspection. I am looking at boosting in the spring and I am not here in US and am not aware of how it all works.

Any help would be great!

Watching!!!

Alllright here it goes people. We started friday night and finished it on sunday. Lot of cutting for the crash bar since all we used was a dremel kit and a hack saw but thats how we do ____ round here lol. Na but sunday everything was done, install wasnt too bad. just seems like there had to be alot more extra work then whats claimed. We had to take out the fans to get the manifold and turbo to fit which was a real small hassle but no problem at all. The injectors didnt come with any wiring for the plugs so I just cut the original plugs off, connecte them to some wire with a butt connector tightly and secure and no problem there at all. Very easy. Umm the oil pan, taking it off only took us about 15 min. We bought an angled putty knife, used the dremel to sharpen it and just chizzled away and that came off no problem. Don't know what I did wrong but the intercooler wasnt really lined up in the center but the piping really didnt just line up without moving things around and doing some custom work, cutting, and bending of metals.

Now the biggest problem I had was after testing the car when everything was running, by the way this kit runs like a damn charm from what we did so far, but there was a small little oil leak in the inlet flange. So I went to go tighten it a little and the flange literally cracked in half. Now on treadstone they claimed that it is steel or something but what I got sent seemed like aluminum. I dont know but I talked to Jason and the guy at sciontcperformance.com and everything is getting settled with that. So now Im just sitting here waiting for the flange to come in which hopefully is thursday or friday but I have no other car to use so Im walking my ___ to work and just staying at home doing nothing. But I will have more pics and details once ____ gets done aiiiiiiiiiiiight. thats it for now. and without the engine management system, from what Ive tested so far I think the car will be perfectly fine except the fact that I know Im running rich cause of the bigger injectors. But like I said I will have everything written up and pics on monday once the internet gets hooked up at my new apartment. Ill keep in touch. lata peoples

I knew i didnt see any wiring for the injectors lol

First time ive heard of taking the fans out... heard of them riding close but never needing to remove them.

only thing you didnt mention was the oil line to the block that you have to T off. Has treadstone fixed this issue? Did you have to tap new threads or did it go in just fine?

Lastly, pix/video please.

Thanks a lot.

wait wait wait... you ghetto-rigged the injector clips with butt connectors? That is one area where you don't want to take shortcuts... get some clips and solder/ heat wrap them on.

Well there is a way...you would end up taking a loss in $$$(i'm thinking of doing this) you could get the kit(which is a "decent" kit for the money) install it MINUS the injectors and MAF stack, run it at 6PSI ZPI stage 0 style (using a regular MAF flange) UNTIL you can get your self an EMS or standalone...

if you think about it the reason the kit doesn't "mate" well with e-manage is "probably"(not saying it is) because of the STACKED MAF flange. treadstone uses it for the 440cc focus SVT injectors the kit comes with,(black magic i tell you!) so the e-manage prob gets in and can't make heads or tails of the MAF readings in relation to the injectors and timing and just fries your ECU

i figure if you just use a "regular" MAF flange and whatever size injectors you plan to run, then i don't see any more issues with piggy backs...

if that is the case (which I think might be) wouldn't using the pressure sensor to tune off of instead of the MAF signal solve this? I have been pondering using the AEM F/IC to tune my treadstone kit. Oh and last time I spoke to Treadstone, they were hoping to get a pretuned Uni-Chip for their kit.
