well i changed all the vac lines to where there is no opening at all, i test drove it and it sounded like a regular bov, no surge but it only lasted for a few pulls. my vsv makes something inside the bov open and close though like it would just keep tapping and knocking. and so far the only 2 shops i tried contacting around my area basically wont help me for whatever reason

What do you mean only lasted for a few pulls?
you mean it would sound correct, but then it would go back to surging?

Let us know what he says. Word of advice, call his ___. He's HORRENDOUS at replying to emails in detail at all. Usually its one sentence like...."I don't know" lol. Naw, but i'd try calling him instead.

I am pretty sure that isnt compressor surge. Reason mine does the same thing and there is no signs of compressor surge at all. I also have a HKS SSQ with a gynormous turbo but i am pretty sure that isnt compressor surge but wastegate flutter as well.

im sorry making post after post but here is a video i just did a few minutes ago. it seems that the bov lets off the way its supposed to only in higher boost. im only running in 5psi but if i just cruise or only boost a little it does that fluttering sound. but in high boost when i let go it seems like its the way its supposed to be. check out the video and let me know what you think, not the greatest quality but its a helio lol.

well since your an auto, you always going to get some compressor flutter sound. Especially with the push type BOV the RS is. To be honest, I wouldn't worry about it.

I got an auto with zpi stage 0 running 6psi and I have a HKS BOV and I have no compressor flutter at all. Mabey you should try the HKS BOV and see what happens.

HKS SSQV is a pull type, not a push type.

lol yup, not really too short but a lil more haha. this was the response.

yea, it shouldnt sound like that
does it do the same thing when your driving and then let of totaly?

try playing with the screw on top of the BOV, put it all the way tight and then all the way loose to see if it makes a different

But like I said, i got it working now somehow. My next question now is though, I wanna get this aem f/ic. In order for this to work is it really just plug and play,
how exactly does this work if nobody minds telling me. do i get this and have the shop install it before tuning or I can put it on and leave it until it gets tuned??

its pnp if you get the pnp harness. and don't put it on until it gets tuned.

Wastegate flutter is a myth...in other words wastegate flutter IS compressor surge...

damn so all these push type BOVs Greddy/T'netics/Tial don't work very well with the TC's huh?

that blows i have 2 of the above...

It's not that push types don't work on the tC, it may have just been an issue with his particular setup. HIS turbo, HIS automatic, HIS vacuum leak!

and yeah, you need to have a map on the f/ic before you plug it in. I got a few I could send you if you want, no garountees any will work. the right thing to do would be to take it to the tuner and have them install it and tune it right then.
