Yeah good job!
I would like some more pics of the injectors and fuel rail, did the injectors drop right in? no shaving the rail or anything?

also are you planning on running a mechanical oil pressure gauge off the pressure side?

why are you running only 5 psi? i thought the kit came good for 7 out the box?
for 5 to 6 psi and i wouldn't even bothered installing the injectors...

kit looks sweet thought...
Boost Mmm...

yea the injectors dropped right in no problem. I thought that was gonna be my big problem but that was the easiest. No shaving or anything else extra for the fuel rail. Oil pressure gauge Im sure Ill be doing later on. The kit doesnt come with 7 out the box. The wastegate already comes with the 5psi spring in it. I wanted 7 cause thats what I thought it would be but Im just gonna keep it at 5 for now til I get used to things and build up on more parts. But the wastegate comes with the 5, 7, and 9psi spring so you can change those anytime you want. But probably right before I go to the dyno Im gonna switch to 7 and have them tune it also.

Finished pics with the bumper on and all that I will have for you tomorrow. I dont know what you mean about the dump tube but if its what Im thinking then yea it does lol.

well got some bad news, i was racing my friends turbo celica. i was beatin him badly and guess what happens, transmission goes on me. so now I gotta take off the turbo kit and put on the original parts, get it fixed from my warranty, and after thats done im gonna go trade it in for an 08 5 spd. i will never turbo an automatic again lol. so this is gonna probably be a few weeks to a month process to see what happens next. ill keep you updated and hopefully this treadstone kit fits on the 08 models. peace

Are you sure you blew your tranny up after only one race? You are positive it went? I've been boosted running 7-8psi daily on my Auto and race on weeekends and have had zero transmission issues. What was your boost gauge reading when you think your tranny went? What is happening that makes you think its your tranny?

im sayin im still drivin the car right now but not boosting. when i drive it regular its like the transmission is slipping. it will take a little longer before it gets into 2nd gear and then sometimes it will jump into 2nd real hard or hesitate and sometimes the same with 3rd. im running at 5 psi and that's where it was at when it went. i mean the tranny is definatly doing something it shouldnt be i dont know

when you were racing yoru buddy, you didn't do neutral drops did you? oh and you probably just hit the rev limiter in 1st gear going into 2nd.

na never no neutral drops. i still cant figure it out though. i just checked everything, spark plugs, injector wires, lines, checked the tranny fluid and found little little bits of metal on the stick but i dont know if thats cause its a pain in the ___ getting the stick back in when it rubs against the metal or not. I dont know I got no clue why its doin this to me and none of you guys had any problems with the tranny.

alright I got my car scanned today and the codes that came out were something to do with the torque converter or something with the word torque and something else. I dont think its the transmission directly but something else thats inside the tranny. so now that I know its that I gotta take the whole kit off and i scheduled my appointment for next tuesday to get fixed. Now I gotta search and see for trading in this _____ for an 08 and see if this kit will fit in the 08. I dont think it would have any problems fitting in there but just going through all the paperwork is a _____ haha. aight well there ya go.

ohh and what caused the cel to come on in the first place, the tube that goes from the turbo to the intercooler came off while boosting and i had to drive like that cause i was on the highway and the car was barely moving so thats when the problem started but just didnt know. so thats when i ____ed it up i guess but ehh, its getting fixed. if you know what problems im talking about with the tranny let me know cause i cant remember what he said

the torque converter is what mates the engine to the transmission. it's like a clutch for an auto. it consist of a turbine, impeller and a stator. transmission fluid gets pump into the impeller and then backflows through the stator to multiple torque so the car will move.

if you smoked the converter, it can set a code. but the only code it's really going to set is related to the lock-up on the coverter. if a converter doesn't lock-up your going to have ____-poor fuel economy, late shifts, poor driveablity, etc...

it could be something as simple as the lock-up solenoid or some very bad, were you able to see what code was present? There might be a simple fix this situation.

edit... when i say lock-up it means the turbine locks to the stator so the converter doesn't "slip" this is for driveability of the vehicle.
