no, it's cool man. paul @ dezod also confirmed that the channel numbering doesn't really matter because the emanage doesn't discriminate between coils. I'm seriously getting ____ed at this whole emanage setup. As of right now, all of the settings on everything are perfect: jumpers, rotaries, wire harness. The f'ing car just refuses to start on the emanage. looks like either

1. my emanage is garbage and i need a replacement or
2. i'll have to get the AEM F/IC which will end up costing me a LOT of money once you factor in the PnP harness for that unit, as well.

great, just great. so i will have bought two PnP harness and two piggybacks for sh*ts and giggles.

That sucks to hear bro. Who did you buy the PnP harness from? See if they will let you return it or something. I had issues with my emanage as well. I was really disappointed with it. Good luck bro, i'm wanting to see this car!

The e-manage series are kinda problematic especially the Ultimates. That is why we never promoted them, and switched fully.

i got the harness from dezod. they said i could return it and they would take a look at it and cover costs if the unit was defective, but i checked all of the wiring with the ECU pinout on their website, and everything looks fine. if i have to spend more money to get my car to START, i will bash emanage for the rest of my modding life. it's ridiculous.. i might have to shell out $750 and just get the AEM unit w/ harness. so far the greddy's costed my car an extra week in the shop, 4 days of me going back to tinker with the unit unsuccessfully, multiple phone calls to dezod, todd, and others, lots of head-banging against walls, and will probably end up costing me another $750. thanks greddy, i appreciate the generosity ok, i'm done ranting for now

btw... hey phil, do you or anyone you know have any decent maps for the AEM unit at .5bar (7.25psi)?

See if Dezod will let you exchange the Emanage PnP harness for the AEM F/IC PnP harness. I don't see why they wouldn't.

Well, if you got the emanage and harness from dezod, and either are defective, they should set you straight. Maybe even trade up?

but if you do get the F/IC, yeah, I got like 4 different maps. ONE of them should work to at least get you running, but i'd recommend getting it tuned to your setup. But with my base maps, it should only take a tuner an hour.

Damn, if you end up forking out another $750, youd have spent enought to hvae gone full AEM EMS standalone!

well, the car is at the toyota dealership. we tried to start it up on the stock ECU at the shop and now the stock ECU won't even start the car. it threw ignition coil error codes when we hooked it up to a scanner. obviously my toyota warranty is out the door... i just have it at the dealership b/c they'll actually know what to do to fix the ignition if that ends up being the problem (and if not, they'll at least be able to find the problem). this dealership is a good one; not shady or anything. so i'm expecting more costs, but at this point, i just need my car back so there's nothing really i can do. my only concern is that if there is some problem with the emanage or the harness, i don't want to fry the ignition again... i'm thinking it may have screwed something up b/c the jumper settings on the emanage weren't correct when we first hooked it up to the car last week.

my jumper settings werent correct either the first time we tried to start my car and it didnt do anything like that. we tried to trouble shoot the fuel injectors for like 2 hours till we thought to check the jumpers then problem solved! good luck though jax and im sorry about your problems.

no. i tried it a few days ago and the car started but couldn't idle due to the injectors... now, it's all the same. with the emanage hooked up, it just sputters... with the emanage disconnected, it just sputters. sometime between then and now, something went wrong with the ignition system. i guess i'll find out tomorrow if the dealership gets to my car.

gl bro, hope everything works out for ya... I am wanting to see your car in action but I guess I will have to wait like you do... oh and if I were you I would have put the stock injectors back in and then ran it off the ecu back to your house (without hitting boost of course) the first time it wouldn't start... that way you wouldn't have to pay for the time it was in the shop and that way you had it right there for you to try and get the emanage working.... although it may be faulty.... oh well, hopefully this problem doesn't cost you an arm and a leg...

well here's the thing. they let me keep the car in the shop while we were trying to sort out the emanage at no cost. i don't have the greddy support tools; so they have the cable and laptop to run it with anyway. if they had put the stock injectors back in, however, i would have been charged for it plus reinstalling the 550s. my options were pretty limited. at this point, however, i just want my car to work. hopefully it won't cost me an arm and a leg to fix whatever's wrong, but i don't really have much of a choice. i NEED to drive. note to others: never, ever, ever, take your car to a shop that doesn't have a tuner in-house. not to say they f'ed the car up by any means, but they just didn't know how to fix the emanage side of the problem; something a different shop with a tuner would probably be able to figure out.
