Alright guys, by popular demand it is time to show some Houston grown Turbo sweetness.
Setup:
TT 2.1 kit
T3/T4E 57 trim .60 cold .63 hot
8.7 spring along with turboxs MBC (reading 8 psi)
2.5 full exhaust
stock engine
Don't have any Dyno numbers yet, waiting to move into new house to do clutch, ect. for Dyno session. I wish I could post more pics, but my computer crashed the week after the install so, some phone pics will do for now. Got the kit used, but in great condition except one pipe needed to be taken care of. I had plans to get one done, but didn't workout. Plan B was to use a 90 degree coupling as suggested by Chris, at least for the time being.

After

Damaged cold side charge pipe

My girl's Boob job lol

First time going down the 1/4 and got a 13.8 on my first pass, here are the slips. No need for Dyno #'s if u got time slips, right

Too bad I didn't have the kit when I took the pics

All I got to say is that this kit is sweet, it has the looks and all the power u need. Todd thanks for such a great kit!!!!
Credits:
My brotha Shawn for letting me use his garage and giving me a hand with the install.
Chris (Crush) for tuning maps, advise, street tuning, tuning tips, engine mounts install, boost controller bracket fab (bad butt), ect. Thanks again man, this would of been a lot harder without ur help brotha.
Garret (fantastic G) for the tons of pics taken during the engine mounts install
Travis for advise before purchase.
Hope didn't forget anyone.
Update!!! 11-14-09
It has been a while since last update so, here we go.
I never posted the dyno sheet I had, cuz it was only at 8psi on a base map from Chris. We had pulled 1 deg of timing per psi and it was killing power all over the place. Also the fuel map needed some tweaking big time, the AFR curve almost seemed as if it was backwards
Overall it ran good, specially at cruise which is what I needed at the time.

I have more stuff, just can't remember right now. Will post later.
Here's the dyno run from last night:

I also took the wastegate and bov apart for cleanup. Wastegate was in pretty good condition, but the bov filter was clogged up. I had noticed that after hitting the gas hard and coming back down to idle, it would stutter a bit. So, look out for that damn thing if u got an HKS bov.

It has been a while, as some of you might know the 06 engine went to a better place. While tuning for E85 the fuel system wasn't up to par, ran a lean condition for a brief moment and KABOOM! Well 10-12k miles later the new 08 engine is running smooth and strong and it was due for a quick dyno run.
08' engine, 8-9 psi (8psi 3.7k-4.5k, 8.5psi 4.5k-5.7k and 9psi 5.7k-6.3k rpms), 700cc dw's (maxed out) and E85 sweetness. In the first two runs the tune was untouched, now on the third I added about .75 deg of timing through out the map. Given that it was heat soaking already by the second run (somewhat), I think the pick up in hp/tq was substantial. Only worry is right after 6.1k rpms, where the curb dips like crazy! I subtracted the timing to it's original place right after 6k rpms just to be safe. What ya guys think?

thanks ace.
About the polishing, no way I would ever do it again. At least not stainless steel. It took sooo many hours and dumb me didn't wear a mask when I did that and the turbo and got sick for like two weeks

yes Ace, nitto invo. I freaking love this tires, for a summer street tire they were great at the track.
On the first run I took it easy since it was my first time. Second run I got cocky and spun out 1, 2 and beginning of 3rd and hit the rev limit about four times in second.
On the third run the launch was alright, but the clutch was slipping way too much when I went into third. It's kind of weird that feeling.
Heat? as far as radiator temps the highest i've seen is 204, but only during traffic. When I was stock I saw up to 211 a couple of times. Intake temps, yes they do get really high, but only when in traffic or idling for a long time. I've seen up to 145. Highway temps are about 9-10 degrees higher than ambient, stock it used to be exactly ambient temp.
The difference from stock is that with any turbo ur going to have a short pipe sucking hot air from the engine bay anyways, unlike stock that gets air from the fender.
