Default Turbonetics owners: Are you running 8 lbs stock??

Hello all. I've been running by kit for a bit and I noticed that after I installed my boost gauge and boost controller, they both say I am running 6 psi.
Wierd since I thought the pre-tuned map was supposed to run 8lbs.

Also does the Wastegate that come with the kit come with a 10lbs spring?? Any info will help.

Check all your couplers connections.
Check your vacuum lines where you "T" Fit
Check your WG and BOV Lines
How/Where did you install your BOV?

Cars vacuums at 20-22 and under WOT the car is running rich and I sent the boost controller at 8psi for now. Lines look good and had second opinons on it say everything looks good.

One thing I do have different is the recerculating tube was remove from the BOV to the intake tube. BOV is bolted onto the charge pipe which connects to the throttle body. Do you think the BOV may have a bad spring??

Default hey

hey how are you doing? Just wondering how the car's running any problems. Also how much did the greddy boost comntroller cost you if you dont mind me asking. Im either gonna go with that or the hks im not sure. Does it measure in psi becasue the hks doesn't. Also do you know the conversion from kpa to psi by any chance? Sorry for bothering you. Thanks alot for the help in advance.

Make sure the boost signal is going to the right port on the BOV> I have now heard of several Tc owners that for one reason or another installed the boost signal on the wrong port. the fitting shoudl be in the op port of the BOV. Closest to the logo. If its in the lower port the BOV is opening under boost and venting the air when it shouldn't.

MytC: Cars running awesome, just the lower boost stock was the only problem. Idles solid, pulls hard and spools fast. The Greddy Boost controller I got was a Bspec II controller which was sold to me for 250 bucks with a Turbo Timer. Buddy bought them and never installed them so he sold it to me cheap as hell. The Bspec II controller does display psi and bar as well as last boost and preset modes. I love it.

MIAPLAYA: I have the vacuum port connected to the top of the BOV. Its running 8lbs now but I turned it up witha boost controller. Could it be the Wastegate limiter cause I cannot go to 10lbs which is what I wanted to go. The boost controller does state it will go to the maximum limit of the Wastegate, which I understood was 10lbs right?? Where could I get a higher spring from??

How do you have the boost controller hooked up? That wastegate will go as high as you want it to. The PSI rating on the spring is the MINIMUM pressure it will run with no correction applied. You should have the line from the turbo going to the bottom port of the wastegate and the solenoid OUT port on the boost controller going to the top port on the wastegate.

PLEASE EVERYONE MAKE SURE IF YOU FIX YOUR BOV PORT THE WASTEGATE PORT IS IN THE RIGHT SPOT

The BOV boost signal goes into the upper port (closest to the Turbonetics logo) and the wastegate boost signal goes in the lower port (furthest from the Turbonetics logo)

I'm attaching pics to help:

FYI if for some reason I don't respond immediately to tech questions here please check www.turboneticsownersclub.com in the tech support section as I or one of the Turbonetics Tech support people will respond there quite often...
