turbotoytas simple kit+GT3071R (vid p 12, final results p 31)
so we recirculated the BOV nearly in vain. the car did not miraculously start maintaining an idle. so i'm not paying for that since it was the reccomendation of the shop that it would make it idle better.
the mechanic who installed everything says he wants a day to trouble shoot the car, mainly the fuel system. he was saying that when he sets the pressure to 50 psi, where it is supposed to be, the pressure gauge flutters widely and that might be the problem with the idling is there. so he turned it down to about 40 or so and the guage stabilized, and it is running better somewhat now. but not perfect.
i'm bringing it back one last time on monday, with the radiator, shroud, and the new stock junkyard ecu, complete with instructions to make it work with a new key. so hopefully everything can be sorted out, it can get a propery dyno tuning session, will idle properly, and make big power finally.

i paid for a tuning session, which i haven't really gotten since the car was overheating on the dyno, so no. since the car is only street tuned. they might charge me just for restrapping it down.
i didnt think recirq the bov would help but its all apart of trouble shooting...you gata start someplace.
hope the ecu does the trick and your done with this stupid crap. good luck

well, you can stop by around 4, but like i said, i'm dropping the car off with the radiator, shroud, the junkyard stock ECU, and they're going to have till tuesday or wednesday to get this car running properly. which means no overheating, no stalling and no hesitating. if they can't, then it'll be off to somewhere else to get tuned i guess.
while waiting for the car, i walked over to atlantic motorsports and saw they had "1slowtc" there. maybe i'll let them have a crack at tuning it.

give me a call when ever u need anything, and/or when ur getting tuned

i would, but i don't have them on me, i'll email my tuner and ask him to send them to me and i'll share them with you. pm me your email address.
and no, i don't need a new key, i got the instructions i needed from garage1217. only question i have is when i put the stock ecu in, and paperclip it to read my old key, does that mean my key will work with both ECU's? or just the most recently programmed ECU?

Im not sure if after you program if u can hot switch between em or not!
My email is mike@mtuned.net
Id call myself a AEM fic guru!
Yea i might have some suggestions for you!
well, i gave my tuner your email elevationtc. he says what is frustrating is that he is following exactly what is on the basemaps and such and AEM for getting the car to idle, but what is really annoying is how sometimes the car does idle, and sometimes it doesn't, roughly 50/50 sometimes. he says it is almost like the factory ECU is doing something behind our back to mess up the tune.
only thing i can think of is 1. maybe he forgot to adjust for stock tc injectors versus trd injectors for the difference in flow, but i doubt that, and then lastly, the car does seem to idle better when it is warmed up, which makes me wonder if the enrichment cycle for warming up the car is messing it up.
