item isnt on ebay anymore

 

My neighbor got jacked 16K on e-bay the guys who ripped him off were really good. It turns out they are a couple of college students who live in france and have been constantly scamming people on car sales. My neighbor said they (e-bay) cant pin point exactly who it is but they have a pretty good idea and are trying to get them arrested

 

Ebay and paypal, specially Pay pal don't really care much about people getting scammed. As long as they get their money on commission, they won't do ____ for you. Read the agreement on filing a claim and chargebacks. I had a bad experience with them.

 

Yeah I was just ready to buy the kit too, wow we agreed on a price of $900 shipped, but when he couldnt provide pics when it was on a tc or any specs about it I decided to just shy away.

 

In the vast majority of cases con artists prey on those that think they can get a killer deal and are so greedy to get it let their gaurd down just long enough to get burned.

Use common sense and you will be ok;) n Which you guys are doing by the way!!

As long as people believe in fairy tales, pixi dust and sounds to good to be true, aholes like this will continue to thrive. As you know, the law protects them and rips us apart if we do anything to them, think about that for awhile the next time some ultra liberal criminal loving idoit wants your vote.

I wish I wouldve played this out smarter and done further research, but now I'm out a $1000 cash from this coward. I lost my money back in July and tried to have authorities do something but nothing ever came up of it......sucks but i guess i have to learn the hard way...If anyone has any info on this guy please PM me details, I would like to know what came of his story...

not to be an ___, but who in there right mind would consider buying a turbo used for that amount? the price is so good you would have to question the validity of the whole listing. It seems people are so excited and overcome with the " damn that is a smoking deal" emotion they loose there common sense.

I have been on ebay for years and never been ripped off, or scammed in any way, go with your gut instinct if it does not sound legit, or even if it is, its better not to bid and pay full price then have to go through the hassle of all this crapp. Seriously if you are unsure at any level buy it somewhere else.

I never buy anything from anyone that has less then 25 positive feed back "from buyers" and i dont buy items from people who are selling something at a unreal discount, like this turbo kit.

its buyer beware and ebay is really reluctant to do much about fraud......

so if you dont slow down, think and really evaluate the situation then maybe you deserve to get ripped off, its an expensive lesson to learn.

 

hes been caught, being held on multiple federal charges. the authorities will get back to me when they need something from me , or have someting for me. thats what ive been told..

 

thats good to hear that he's been caught. hopefully its the same guy that i got scammed by. get my money back from that a$$hole haha. by the way....where did it say he was located?
