when someone with 261whp can drive a 13.5 or better in a manual they can say autos suck or whatever they want. Under 300whp our trans is fine wish simple upgrades. more than that, id go for a standard.

Hix has a point that sequential trans is better for racing. the two transmissions we are discussing do not invole a sequential box. However no one has the budget as far as i know besides world racing, which is a purpose built race car.

Might be HIGH numbers if your using crappy parts!
so what your saying is if you dont make that much power your using crappy parts? and i know your not talking about me using crappy parts lol. plus i wouldnt know how much my car makes at 6psi cause i never tried it. by the way posting a dyno sheet and saying the car is on 6psi doesnt prove it really. cause i can post my dyno sheet and say it was on 10psi doesnt mean it was really on 10psi. but hey if the descendant kit made that much with a good tune by all means thats great.

basically yes...it's not rocket science, wouldn't you agree?

Good/OK parts make good/ok power...better parts make more power.

theres alot of poeple on here at around 6psi and they havent passed 260whp mark and there using quality turbo kit (quality parts). maybe there tunes were conservative. now i can understand if they have doo doo parts and not making the power. but if they have quality parts and not making the power doesnt mean they dont have wuality parts is what i am saying. maybe there tune is conservative. alot of factors play in there. i just wont say that there using crappy parts if they dont make the power unless they really are using crappy parts.

Really...? Honestly if thats TRUE, thats terrible. None of our DESCENDANT customers over the past 2 years have left our shop with less with anything less...and we tune EVERYTHING conservatively.

I've went that fast with right around the same hp. Auto's fail after 250whp, where as the manuals have taken 700, 800+whp. Surely you can kinda see why most are biased.

Thats fine. Anything after 300 5 speed is the way to go. Even having an auto tC, and driving and help work on another "fully built" auto tC. I'd give the advantage to the auto under 300, over, 5 speed. Just my opinion.

Not if I'm driving it.

I think there might have been some confusion as to my ideal numbers. I am looking for 280hp at the engine, not 280whp.

I'm not sure what 280hp at the engine would transfer to whp. How much is lost from the engine to the wheel?

You can expect a 15% loss from the engine to the wheels. 280hp would roughly be around 240whp.

All men think they are good at sex and driving. Most aren't good at either one.

But if you are that good at driving, thanks for gloating.

If I was gloating then I would have said a lot more. All I was saying was that I'm not a beginner when it comes to driving my tC on boost or off boost. Perhaps a beginner not knowing how to make the most of it in his manual tC would loose to an auto, just saying I'm not that guy.

I have two sons, so I must not be that bad in the bedroom either....lol.
