I would make sure you COMPLETELY dry off the center and impeller side of your turbo, as it will rust up real bad...my impeller side is coated, but my center section is not and it's rusted up now.

I don't know about all this.....
There are FAR too many sensitive connections under the hood of a modern automobile. I would rather spend a week with a Q-tip than a month wondering why my car won't run after spraying it down....

I have cracked stock cast exhaust mani's before by just going through a large puddle without a splash guard and have cracked the heads on a chevy lumina doing the same thing but with splash guards(big puddle.....lol). I learned to stay away from puddles.........lol
However iv owned a 87 oldmobile cutless and loved to drive as fast as i could through puddles, i even sprayed the ish outa the engine bay with water hose and about 10 cans of foaming engine degreaser, never had a problem with it. but that car also had an all iron head and block. the lumina did not.

i just washed my engine day today i fried my alternator cracked my header my block my car wont start and a midget kicked me in the nuts
today was the 100 time i have sprayed out my motor and nothing happened so who knows

lucky i am not i know you dont blast straight into a alternator its common sense and a quick mist wont hurt nothing every time you drive through a car wash your hole exhaust system and motor gets sprayed including your radiator does it crack
