wastegate spring size
I'm looking to get a different spring for my tial 38mm wastegate. I'm looking at the different springs on this site:

When it says .6 BAR spring (8.7 psi) is max boost exactly 8.7 psi or is it around that general amount give or take .1 or .2 psi?

your boost should be at least same as the wastegate spring ideally, but there are other variables that could affect boost. Boost creep is common, if you boost below your spring you might have a vacuum leak or the turbo is not making enough boost
well i'm putting in my s1 kit in december. right now i'm just getting together all the other parts for the complete picture (gauges, tranny cooler, finding a tuning shop). I've read every single thread on here and clubscion about turboing autos and it seems like even at 8psi the tranny will still slip after not that much time, so that's why i'm looking into to getting a .5 BAR spring instead of using the .6 BAR spring thats in the wastegate now.
