What clutch shall i choose? need help
Hey guys so as u probably know i constantly run into new problems and my newest one is my clutch going in the ____ter after 800 miles somehow... guessing the engagement point was brought out to far and it rode the throw out bearing the whole time.. anyway the clutch is done after we tried to move it into the driveway it smoked like a ******.. SO
this is my daily driver, built, 60-1, 18-22 lbs, meth and race gas (sometimes) in near future. anywhere from 400-450 wtq im guessing when the tune is complete..
and i have to stay single disc cuz i have no money for a twin
now i was really looking into ACT, obviously as a DD i dont want super harsh engagement and agressiveness.. i mean i still have ladies to drive around lol
i was looking at
http://www.dezod.com/pd_act_6.cfm
http://www.dezod.com/pd-act-xtreme.cfm
or even going back to CC with the stage 5 sprung
http://www.dezod.com/pd_competition_...e_5_clutch.cfm
the maxx extreme one isnt pucked, does this mean its a harder clutch to handle on the streets, harsher engagement? im not sure what direction to go,
what are your thoughts? or even a better clutch suggestion?

with twin disc and stage 5 not an option, go with the ACT extreme 500+ hp i believe are crank hp though.. you might still slip but it shouldnt be too bad.. it would still grab like it should

This is very true.. and these numbers are only good for street tires!
So if you go with a slick ever or drag radial.. chances are this clutch will fail!
because you said you wanted something more driveable for your girls lmao..
it should hold man for what you are aiming, but im just saying dont be surprised if it slips when you use some slicks or some launch control.. but if its really a good clutch and is holds like how its advertised, if it slips it shouldnt be a lot
