Default what could be causing this

Since I've had the turbonetics kit with the unichip. I've been getting a cyl 1,cylinder 3, and random misfire. I've already swapped coils n changed to 1 step colder plugs (twice). I also had a sputter/miss feel at idle so I switched form my Siemens 630's to DW 550's the sputter/miss feel is pretty much gone. But today I got a cell light agian. For the same things. I've seen people say to clean the maf, replace the o2. But what is causing these cels. What should I check. Also there is no big oil loss or coolant. Could it be a sensor issue like a cam or crank?

start by check your air/fuel ratios, if there good. next are your injectors pnp or did you have to cut and soldier in new clips? if so id check your connections make sure there good.

Afr at idle 147.15.1 under boost 11.2-11.5. My 630's were pigtails checked with no problems went to 550's factory plugs no problems there

One more thing I never cleared the code with a scan tool just removed the negative battery terminal to get rid of the light does that matter cause before I've cleared it with the scan tool n it still came on. That was with my 630's not my 550's

disconnecting the negative terminal will reset the adaptives. its possible the ecu corrected itself and learned w the misfire. drive it around for a bit and report back.

also check for vaccum leaks. i know it sounds stupid but i had a similar issue after a vaccum line was messed up. i fixed that leak and the car ran like poo. i was chasing my tail until finally i said screw it and disconnected the neg terminal. i let it sit for a few mins, connected it and its been fine ever since.

i was also throwing misfire codes before i reset the ecu.

I've redone all vac lines but with the negative batt unplugged will it delete any codes or will they stay unless deleted with a scan tool. I'm ruling out engine damage because its on 2 cylinder n has been doing this since I've had the kit

yea itll erase all codes in the ecu. if the problem persists, than u know u have another issue. also, when was the last time u did a compression/leak down test? how long have u had the kit on ur car and was the uni chip tuned professionally or r u running the base map? i know alotta ppl have trouble w the uni chip and end up switching it out to the fi/c or emanage ultimate.

Yes moved coils a few times n nothing changed. The unichip is still on the tune that it came with. I have a fic just waiting on money for a harness n tune. I've never did a comp/leak test because its not one cylinder

id have to say it may have something to do w the uni chip. try throwin in the stock injectors and see what happens. since the uni chip is still on the base tune, theres no way of telling what size injectors the base map is set for. idk its worth as shot at this point just to see what happens. try it w the uni chip and the factory ecu to see what the outcome is.

i know that. the only reason i was sayin to do that is to narrow down ur trouble to see if its the tune or not. if it doesnt do it do it with the factory stuff back in and it its running fine than ull know its something to do with the unichip/tune. if it still does it, than ur gonna have to dig deeper into it. u gotta make sure that u keep the car out of boost w the factory stuff in. just drive it normal and dont beat on it. if its still throwing a misfire, itll do it after a few drive cycles regardless of normal driving or high rpm loads. its just a process of elimination.

yea i know exactly what u mean. but my recommendation would be to try going back to stock first before u spend $ on an fic or emu just to rule out the unichip. the 30mins its gonna take to throw the injectors in and disconnect the unichip to rule it out, is gonna be a better, less expensive way to figure out ur issue. imho, it doesnt make any sense to spend money for the ems, harness and tune, just to realize that it wasnt the issue. ya know what i mean. just tryin to help ya to play it on the safe side broham.
