So should we assume theat when replacing a clutch to use a brand new TOB from toyota? Or are the ones that the aftermarket clutch people send you better?

yea it was the cc tob that came with their stage 4 kit. ive got a clutchmasters in there now

 

i dunno about mines. lol a shop did my install.. hey pete why did you decide to change yours? and what you putting in there?

 

Its a bad design from Toyota even if CC is just mimicking Toyota's bearing it just a bad design all together. Its not sealed completely clutch material from wear and tear will get into it and destroy it. I replaced my clutch at 20K due to racing at the drag all the time and my bearing felt like complete ****! Our cars don't even use a pilot bearing/bushing.
