Are you using a harness? As I have none of these issues with mine. RPM rev limit works (set to 7k currently).

Yea its been a pain in the ___ lol. The harness is actually hard wired, Ive double checked everything, and the car actually runs great, also the ultimate shows its pulling timing when requested, so I dont know if my unit may have other issues, or if Im missing a setting somewhere. Also the connecting a notebook to it and having the car die issue is just plain weird lol. Its strange, if I do it in the right order its fine, but if not boom, car wont start or will die when I connect it. I need to bust out my dmm when I get home and check the unit's power and ground, could be maybe the voltage to it is low, and when I connect to it via my notebook the extra drain is enough to cause it to go offline. I could try wiring the power for it directly to an ign wire from the ignition cylinder

My recommendation....get a Boomslang harness.

You might find this information relevant or irrelevant, but when I was on the Emanage Blue, it was hardwired also. I had to be careful closing my glove box (where my E-blue was) if my car was turned on. If I closed my glove box to hard, it would cause the car to die. Now that I'm on the Ultimate with a harness, I can shut the glove box all I want to, no fault/interruption is caused. I highly doubt my car turning off with the Blue was because of the unit. I believe it was due to the wiring (splicing wires into the ECU wires).

thats why you got to make sure your connections are solid..Trav were they soldered or butt spliced?

All connections are soldered, Ive double checked each and continuity checked them - all good. I think it may be due to me misinterpreting some info on the EMU. I currently only have the ignition connections connected (no tach or crank/cam signals) as this is what the install manual implied is necessary. It appears after further research and talking to Paul, I need to connect the cam/crank sensors in addition to the ignition harness. Ill be trying this tonight to see how it goes.

All in the past now. The click of the connector on the harness is the justification now.

Well I feel like an idiot... Thats all it was. And it makes perfect since, if you think about it, how the hell is the EMU gunna detect timing without being able to reference the cam/crank signals. Everything works great now Only one issue left to tackle now... The power steering :/ No leaks, reservoir is full, but the pump doesnt appear to be moving fluid. Pump prob failed, oh well I can get one from a junkyard for $35 locally, looks like thatll be my Friday/day off project

Oh and sorry for no pics yet, dont worry theyre coming soon Ive just been busy working these kinks out

Unfortunately as you can see from the large hole, thats where it met its fate with a piece of 1/2" rebar. The rod was actually bent sideways, dont think Ive ever seen anything like that before :/

Here the new motor going together and being dropped in...

Heres the car and some pics of the engine bay - I plan on getting rid of the pinstripe - it looked good with stock hood/hatch, but with the CF it looks a bit off. And yes the car is dirty, also the front bumper is kind of torn up - plan on getting a new one soon.

Oh yeah, Ill also be painting the top I/C pipe, radiator cross support, radiator stays, and battery tie down all black cherry pearl. (The rest of my I/C piping is already painted) I just havent had time to do it yet. Currently Ive got about 250 miles on the new build. Currently running WG pressure (15 psi) on stock rev limit. In the end (bigger inj and bigger fuel pump(s) will be needed) I plan on going to 25 ish psi, and shooting for mid-high 500's with 7200-7500 rpm rev limit.
