Are you running a converter? What type of temps are outside? Any visible sign of oil build up on or around oil lines and sending unit? TRD reflash along I presume?

I am running both Cats (stock header, stock midpipe, Injen Axle-back), outside temps are low/mid 60s, no visual build up...clean as could be, yes TRD ecu reflash as well as TRD Trans reflash.

Check coolant levels for me.

Coolant level in reservoir is right in the middle, between the Low line and the Full line.

True. The tC is known for not having the best rings.

^^^Hmmm, I didn't think about that...but it really depends on the color of the smoke....And he really needs to pull a plug or two.
