Working with the 2AZ-FE
That kind of boost I would suggest a 16g or something similar. Spool up is super quick and that kind of boost is a happy place for that turbo. If you have bigger things in mind for later on go with a garrett or PTE that everyone is runnin these days. My 16g hits 10psi by 2800rpm and at that boost level it doesnt ever fall off.
i have a t3/to4e 60/ 82 a/r garrett that ill be running with my TT manifold. We are trying to find the best match turbo for his new motor but need to find out the combustion chamber volume.
i got a good question for ya don...have you noticed any differences bwtween the 05-06 oil pumps and 07-09 oil pumps. such as oil pressure produced from each, flow volume, ect.

The oil issue I have read at my old shop a technical bulletin put out by GM why to use the oil they recommend and yes it is partially for emission but it is to have the oil pass through the tight clearances and cool the bearings sufficient to allow for longevity of the engine.
How hard is it to remove the timing chain and covers. also will this throw the timing off? like seriously im doing all this myself for the very first time. about the biggest thing ive done to a motor is add headers. nothing interenal so any help i can get would be greatly appreciated. Also how likely is it that there would be damage to the piston by having a bent valve or is it all dependent on how bad the valve is bent. I think i bent an intake valve
is it hard t o re-install incorrectly. Sorry for the stupid questions but im really nervous about breaking open my baby but it needs to be done and i want to do it myself

don can you please look at this thread and let me know what the correct information is ? please I cant seem to find it unless I take a motor and rip it apart. you seem more familiar with it.

You could probably add oil squirters, probably not a good idea, I haven't tried, yet, so I don't know if it's possible.

9 times ouf of 10 the pistons are fine. What makes you think you bent an intake valve?
