wow another problem.
aight so i had my car dyno tuned back in the end of july. when i was leaving the shop i drove for like 10 mins then i hit a bump in the road and it made me lose all throttle response and the car was stuck reviing between 1500-2000rpm. (im running greddy emanage blue with dezod PnP harness btw.) i restarted the car a couple of times after this and it kept happeneing, so eventually i took out the emanage and pnp harness and it worked fine. when i got home i hooked everything back up and it worked fine for a while couple of weeks then it did it again. i realized if i move the pnp harness wires while the car is running like if i pushed on them slightly, it would make the car rev.(wierd as #$#@) idk whats causing that im guessing that its the harness. i would have posted this sooner but i was working 50-60 hours a week and hadnt had anytime to try and fix this. now that im back to school i can take time to try n fix this. BTW first day of classes they were repaving the highway and it was grooved and i hit a huge bump and it did it again..... this is just really ____ing me off and i want to try and pinpoint what is causing it.
something like this happened to my brother when he first boosted his honda. it would rev up and down like crazy. it ended up being a bad vacuum leak from one of the injectors. if playing with the harness doesnt fix it try looking into vacuum leaks. it sucks to hear your having this much trouble with your car
thansk for the replys guys, im going to try and get in contact with dezod sometime this week. how would i go about checking for vacuum leaks? whast the best way to check for them?
one other question i have is when my car is idleing(when this problem isn't occuring), its reving at around 600-650 rpm and it seems like the motor is shaking more than necessary, is that anyhting to be concerned about?

in the case of my brothers honda the leak was so bad that if you stuck your head in the engine bay you could hear it. i was like a hissing i believe. if you cant hear anything you can try spraying that canned air stuff around where it could be. if you spray and the car starts to stall you found the leak.
yeah etsnet, when i rev it up to that range, it idles fine but the idle doesnt stay in that range( could this be due to an exhuast leak? i have a pretty bad exhaust leak from the downpipe to the s-pipe on my car that i have to get fixed )
xezerax, how would spraying that stuff make the car stall?
and krd im pretty sure all my pipes are connected and fastened, i checked htem lastwek but ill check again

my suggestion: you might need new spark plugs(if your still running the stock ones), and second is to check all your pipes and couplers and see to it that they're not loose .. goodluck man, hope you could get it all straighten up .. and updated us also .. L8er ..
it would make your car stall because your adding air after the maf. for example if you spray it around the injectors and it starts to studder or stall then you have a vacuum leak over there. it works to find pretty big vacuum leaks. i did this on my old dsm when i needed a new intake manifold gasket as well. im not saying that you deff have a vacuum leak, its just a way to check for it. good luck man
