* tC : Gauge Cluster LED Conversion Guide by LEDmod.com

The gauge cluster will read what the gauge cluster reads. So if you buy a new one and install it, it will read what mileage that cluster has seen.
If you want to avoid sketchiness, i'd pull your original one and replace it with the purchased one for the few days you'll be doing the swap. Permanently swap the two and you're looking at fraud charges when you sell the car or lengthy DMV mileage changes and paperwork.

Thanks for clearing that up man. By the way do any of your eyes hurt with your gauges being any other color than red or amber? I like white/red or white/red/blue setups but they sure do hurt my eyes at night. Since I do a lot of road trips that could be dangerous. I've even read too that red and amber are the way to go because the lighting won't distract you at night.
Assuming you set the brightness to a reasonable setting, the blue/white contrasts well to the point that I'm not straining when I look at it like an orange or red would.

You can also still drive your car without the gauges.
I really am sorry I can't help, I've been really busy with work lately and don't have time to work on my car let alone someone else's.

and no you cant drive without the gauges as your mileage wont add up and you can go to jail for fraud if you try to sell the car

A few hundred miles won't make a difference, that law was written for people completely replacing their odometers with ones with lower mileage.

Hey
No that was a different guy (ledmods.net). Some of his customers are still contacting me to fix his crap
I would recommend, if you are doing this yourself, to try it without swapping the gauge cluster resistors first. I know most (including myself) do not want the gauges any brighter. Due to the higher voltage that the cluster leds run on, they will not be dim (they will be nice and bright) without swapping the resistors, so for some, it may be a bit bright to have right in your face at night if you do. I have my needles a bit bright now, which looks cool, but if I were driving too far at night it would probably get a bit distracting (which is why I make my backlit needle mods for others a bit more tamed down unless they want them super bright).
The main point is to know that it will look great either way. Dont confuse this with the HVAC though. You HAVE to do the circuit mod on it or it will be very dim. The difference is that it runs on a regulatd 8V supply stock while the gauge leds are running on battery power.

Hello, I am new here and was just wondering if someone could help me out. I have a 06 Manual tC. I followed the guide to switch out the LED's and resistors. Im positive that i soldered them correctly and in the right directions.
I alternated blue and pick PLCC-2 LED's. all of my lights work such as the high beams, turn signals, low fuel, seat belt, ect.. However, my fuel gauge, speedometer and rpm faces dont light up. As a result I am unable to see my speed, rpms and fuel level.
My guess is that maybe since i used both blue and pink LED's its too much? should i switch some resistors to higher ones?
Thank you in advance. Anything helps!

and check to make sure the LEDs are fully solder. 1 not being solder correctly will effect the others.
