I'm having some problems with my swap. The gauges won't light up. Everything else lights up but the gauges. The LCD screen turns off when the headlight turns on. Could it be the resistors?

Try turning your dimmer switch

 

yup, thats most likely it, turn that dimmer switch to the right....common mistake.

Hey, if I use a 470ohm instead of a 330ohm will it be brighter? Will anything bad happen? like a fire or anything?

 

If you use higher ohm, it will get dimmer....
Basically higher the resistence (higher OHM number) less current flows so less power for the LED...

 

oh so lesser ohm then?

 

Lower ohm, brighter it gets, but if you go to low, you'll over power the LED and LED will burn (it won't cause fire, but you can't use the LED anymore)

anyone know why the speedo needle would not move?

I've checked to make sure it isn't hitting anything or pushed down to far already.

 

Is it ok to just change the 2 LEDs on the fuel, 2 on the temp, 5 on the speedo, 2 on the lcd, and the 3 on the rpm? I kinda want to just leave the other ones stock.

 

Make sure harness is plugged in properly.
Only one or all of them doesn't move??
This is for tC or xB??

 

Yea that is fine.you don't have to change every LED.

hey ledmod is there a write up on HVAC leds? I think i wanna try that first before i attempt the gauges, seems easier that way..
