Default 2 starter wires, one b+... question

Okay, I'm installing a remote start on my 08 tC and I realize there's 2 of the ignition and starter wires. I have a remote starter that has 2 ignition wires, but not 2 starter wires. What I'm wondering is since there's only one battery wire going to the key switch anyway, what's the difference if I put 2 relays and have one source of power and if I were to just put the two starter wires to one off my remote start system... If I'm understanding this right, it's only one power wire getting split into two starter wires anyway... right? Just a curious question before I waste too much of my time wiring 2 relays for nothing... The only thing I can think of is it might be too many amps for a single relay... Thanks in advance!
