i didnt know they removed the cubby hole, are we talking about the same thing? that little area under the stereo? how would you fit an amp in there?

anyway, what kind of setup are you going with? you can remove the stuff over the wheel and set your amp there, thats how I have it. Alot of other people put their amps on the back of the rear seats.

i put my amp in my spare tire area. and if you are going to use an aftermarket sub, you can take out the one in the cubby hole and just make a platform for it to sit on.

the stock sub in the 08 is to the right of the spare tire, they got rid of the little storage compartment next to the spare and put the sub there. Its inside that compartment next to the spare now.

it runs through the factory headunit, through a separate amp built in that little compartment, from what i heard it is only a 6" sub, very small. But i don't see why not it wouldn't still work with 2 10's hooked up.

Do you have any plans/diagrams as to where/how you made your amp bracket? Did you drill new holes or did you use one already on the car?

I don't have any plans...
We simply measured the distances and bent the 1/8" steel. Matt did drill a couple of new holes, but some were pre-existing. The brackets are secured to the car using "grade 8 " hardware.

Get the ED stealth box which replaces the factory 08 sub and cut a circular piece of wood to mount inside the spare tire and mount the amp there so that way everything is completely hidden under the carpet. That's what I'm doing as well as what a lot of others have done.

take out the factory 6" subwoofer. to get it out, you have to unbolt the ancor bolts, and remove the flaps that fold down when you put the rear seats down. once that is out of the way, you can unscrew the final screw holding the factory sub in. once the sub is out, build an amp rack and put your amp in there.
