you can go ported and have one sub as well. i currently have an Alpine Type-R 10" getting only 300 watts rms and its pretty loud and tight just because of the box i made for it.

but i later plan to upgrade to a Pierce Audio Products WMD 10", with another more powerful amp that i have laying around. i haven't actually heard one of these subs in person but from the specs, pics, videos and peoples reviews they seem to be pretty crazy. they have 3" peak to peak excursion and can handle 1000 watts rms each and only cost $200.

i plan to upgrade my audio subwoofers soon. first off i am keeping my old amp. it is a phoenix gold R15:1 monoamp, 1500watts at 2ohm, and 700watts rms at 4ohm.

my goal is to have tight and quick bass, i listen to lots of rock, trance, hiphop

i am considering 2x10inch setup for quicker response and tighter bass and was considering this amp

it has 400 watts rms at 4ohms.

MY question is, if i get 2 of these subs and run them in parrallel connection, would i get 800 watts RMS? or would i be better off getting an 800 watt subwoofer instead?

any reccomendtations on a tight bass subwoofer(s) for under 300 bucks?

thanks, any help would be apprecaited
Don't blame you for going for tighter bass... "quicker" bass on the other hand doesn't exist.
