just intall two sets of 6.5 kicker compnents one in the back the other one in my doors
does who knows how good do the stock speakers compare to some of the after market ones.

 

the stock speakers arent bad, but a good aftermarket set will beat them depending on the specs/brand. are you asking about installing them or do you already have them in? If not i would say just get 1 set for the fronts.

 

ive put them in already sound really good with two 6.5 components all the way around

 

just make sure you amp them up. elemental designs is running some killer deal on 6 1/2 components right now. I dont know the link but its somewhere.

I have 5 1/4's in the front and I really wish I went with higher powered 6 1/2's

I dont think so - I emailed chris from elemental designs and he will prob get back to me tomorrow or the next day with the answer. I ordered some other things from him and he said in one of his closing statements that if I had a few hundred extra .... pick up X speakers before they go up to their normal price. I will find out which ones they are. I might just take out my fronts and backs and redo who whole setup .... im still thinking about it. Having 4 higher powered 6 1/2's would be sweet. I am honestly not happy with my audio setup right now because I used some of the speakers out of my old truck (just to make things better for the time being). I will be getting some elemental thing soon in the mail ..... once I look at the quality that everybody is talking about ... i might just buy the speakers for the car and keep them for a bit

 

its either those or the 6500's and the 6500's are 375 right now...

 

they are comming out with 6800's ....maybe the 6500's are dropping in price ?? im not sure

6800s are going up on pre-production sale soon...$215/pair but yeah, wait until November.

WooHOO!! Yea - im 90% in on them ....maybe upgrading my speakers instead of subs is the way for me to go ....for now.
