Default Air leaking...

So I've had this new sub box installed for a week or two now....
It sounds great and all, but when poking around with it the other day, I noticed that there is a little air escaping by one of the subs.

In the picture below, I have outlined in red the section that I feel some air coming through when the sub gets a signal.
The setup sounds fine to me, I'm just wondering if I should seal up that bit with some caulk or something....

Would doing so help sound at all? Or help risking any kind of damage to the sub(s)?

Also, there is polyfill in the box, but I'm wondering if there should be more.
When dealing with polyfill, should it be TOTALLY filled to the brim or what exactly?

THANKS FOR ANY HELPFUL SUGGESTIONS!

put some weatherstripping in the ring under the sub and then screw it back in......gets a good seal that way.

Yes, a sealed box needs to be, well, sealed. You're going to lose a considerable amount of response through leaks like that. Zinn's suggestion sounds like it should work fine without causing any trouble.

Thanks, guys. It isn't much of a leak at all, but I want it fixed.

About the polyfill....how much is enough? Should it be packed tight and to the brim?
