I dont know which one is better for the money. At Crutchfield, I can get the 10 inch Alpine Type E (2 of them) for $130 and just about the same money for the Sonys. Which one would be better for the same price? In the past I had the Sonys and they were really nice but I gave them away for some unknown reason. Thanks

but i'd do anything alpine over sony IMO

Alpine all day long, BUT don't get the type-Es. I used to have 2 - 12" Type-Es. Sold them an got 1 - 10" Type-R. Ran the same amp. 10" type-r sounded way better than the 2 12" type-Es.

Alpine is good but their bottom of the line type-Es are just that....bottom of the line. General rule of thumb: 1 good sub will always sound better than 2 crap subs

 

alpine!! i have an alpine deck and a 12" alpine type r and its loud and clear

 

ALPINE! i have all alpine from HU, comps, coixals, amps to sub. I have 1 type s sub and it thumps! I know it will be way better than 2 type e's. click on my cardomain page to see the pics!

Id say go for 1 of the new type r's. thats what im gonna go with soon!
