That's the reason for no bolts in the Nine.1...they'd be through the amp case.

Is that MDF that you are using? I was thinking about doing something similar but didn't think that the MDF could take the weight. Have you driven it around since you mounted the amps. I was worried about hitting bumps and the mdf slowly cracking.

I do all settings of everything from my HU. The gains only need to be set once.

As for heat, I haven't had an issue with that(I've gone home to North Dakota in the winter many times with the amps there...I'm pretty sure CA doesn't require the kind of heat in a car that -40 does ;))
